This plein air sketch was made a couple of weeks ago. Oil on hardboard approx 7 x 5 inches. Yellow ochre ground (PY 42 pigment).

Lots of sea shells including these and razor shells. Large numbers of washed up jelly fish too.

Inspired by this colourful poster design of Frederic Gregory Brown of 1920, I made my own version of Aberdare using the same foreground trees. In watercolour and acrylic ink with genuine letraset in Berlin typeface.
